Current Postings:

Finance Administrator
Full-time, Permanent

Reporting to the Administration Manager, the Finance Administrator is responsible for processing agency payroll, purchasing and processing accounts payable, preparing cheques and completing bank reconciliations. This includes all tasks required to maintain complete timely and accurate financial records of the agency in support of the organization’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agency purchasing and accounts payable
Prepare and transmit biweekly payroll
Process benefit payments
Prepare Bank reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, benefits and month end adjustments
Provide support to the Human Resources Supervisor
Assist in maintaining electronic personnel records in HRIS 

Qualifications:
Post-Secondary diploma in accounting
Two years’ experience performing accounting and payroll functions
Experience using accounting software – Experience with Sage 300 an asset
Experience with payroll using a payroll provider – Experience with Ceridian Power Pay an asset
Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Administrative Assistant, Bilingual French/English
Full-time, Permanent

The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to Children First staff while maintaining a professional attitude and ensuring that all administrative support services are provided in an efficient, responsive and confidential manner. The Administrative Assistant, as a representative of the agency, provides courteous service to staff, students, volunteers, families we serve, community partners and the public at all times.

Key Qualifications:
Graduate of a Community College Office Administration program
Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative assistant position
Proficiency in French is a requirement; Proficiency in another language is an asset
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), and Adobe products
Ability to quickly learn to navigate customized client information system
Answer multiple phone lines and direct calls as needed with professional telephone manner and respect for confidentiality
Capability to work quickly, accurately, and under strict deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and internal colleagues
Ability to deal with confidential materials in an appropriate manner
Strong planning, organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
