Children First is an accredited Children’s Mental Health Centre and Infant and Child Development Program specializing in services for families with children from birth to age six who have developmental and/or mental health challenges.

Current Postings:

Resource Consultant, Infant and Child Development Team

The Resource Consultant on the Infant and Child Development Team provides services to children birth to school entry with developmental challenges or at risk of developmental delays and their families in their natural environment. The Resource Consultant is responsible to conduct initial assessments and subsequent reviews using a variety of tools and approaches. In collaboration with families and other ICDP professionals and community partners, the Resource Consultant is responsible to develop, monitor, and regularly update individual family plans with functional outcomes. The Resource Consultant uses coaching and consultations to support the family in the implementation of the family plan. The Resource Consultant monitors, evaluates, and records the child’s progress according to the established functional outcomes. The Resource Consultant assists families with the transition to other community services and with school planning.
