An accredited Children’s Mental Health Centre specializing in services for families with children from birth to age six who have developmental and/or mental health challenges is offering an opportunity to join our organization. Successful candidates will provide administrative support to a team of experienced professionals in a supportive working environment. Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Community College Office Administration program
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in an administrative assistant position
  • Detail oriented with advanced knowledge of administrative functions and procedures
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word), and Adobe products
  • Ability to quickly learn to navigate customized client information system
  • Answer multiple phone lines and direct calls as needed with professional telephone manner and respect for confidentiality
  • Capability to work quickly, accurately, and under strict deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and internal colleagues
  • Ability to deal with confidential materials in an appropriate manner
  • Proactive, confident and professional approach to problem solving independently
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset

Title Program Manager: Development and Child Care Services
Job Information

Qualifications:

  • A Graduate degree in Psychology/Social Work or related field
  • Registration/certification with the College of the relevant profession
  • Five years’ experience in a senior management capacity in a children’s service or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Effective interpersonal skills in verbal and written communications, expertise in evidence based practice, research, program evaluation, and planning.
  • Expertise in staff motivation, team management, management of change, and professional development support
  • Expert knowledge of infant and child development.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in a variety of software packages.
  • Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, PHIPA, Child Care and Early Years Act and other relevant legislation
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset

As a member of the senior management team the successful applicant will provide clinical and administrative supervision to a multidisciplinary team of supervisors and professionals. You will be responsible for planning and leading infant and child development and child care services in the agency, ensuring that highly qualified staff are selected, retained and supported, developing and enacting policies, directing and supporting transdisciplinary and team processes, participating in continuing improvement activities and contributing to the agency’s accreditation. The Program Manager fosters effective relationships with community partners and represents the agency in the community.
