Position: Resource Consultant – 1 Full-time Permanent

Mental Health Team

 Key Qualifications:

  • Degree from a recognized institution in social services, e.g. BSW or community college diploma, e.g. Child and Youth Worker
  • Experience working with children from birth to age six, including those with developmental delays and psychosocial challenges
  • Knowledge of behaviour guidance principles and family systems issues
  • Understanding of family-centered principles and ability to work effectively with parents/caregivers
  • Experience working with children with behavior challenges and providing consultation to their families
  • Experience working closely with community agencies (i.e. CAS, RCC, Hiatus House, adult mental health organizations)
  • Knowledge of custody and access related issues
  • Understanding of the impact adult mental health has on children and family systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset

  • A Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Registration/certification with the College of the relevant profession.
