Children First is an accredited Children’s Mental Health Centre and Infant and Child Development Program specializing in services for families with children from birth to age six who have developmental and/or mental health challenges.

Children First employs the following professionals:

Administrative Assistants Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a Community College Office Administration program, and minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an administrative assistant.

Resource Consultants Minimum Qualifications: B.A. in social service or education field and/or community college diploma (ECE, CYW), previous experience working with children from birth to age six with developmental delays and psychosocial challenges.

Social Workers Minimum Qualifications: M.SW, registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Psychologists Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in clinical, developmental or child clinical psychology from a recognized program, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Physiotherapists Minimum Qualifications: M.P.T. or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Occupational Therapists Minimum Qualifications: M.O.T. or equivalent, CAOT Certification, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

Speech-Language Pathologists Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree, registered or eligible for registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.
